Welcome to Back Yard Cars
I'm building a 1967 GTO convertible in my backyard shop. I hope to have the car built by summer 2004(refer to my schedule). As you go thought this web site you will see that my car started it's life from Pontiac as a Tempest, but because I wanted to build a nice daily driver, I knew that I wasn't going to build it stock. One thing that I didn't want to do is to destroy something that was inherently valuable. For more on myself or the car click on the background link on the left.

What's New
- June - The body is at American Musclecar and great news! I just got the Air Ride kit so I can get cranking on the frame.
- May - Check out the new link on the left, called "Mark's Thoughts"
- April - I got some paint to check out Plum Mist (1967 GTO Color) and Comics Purple (2004 GTO Color)
- March/April - Work on the patch panel and bead blasting the parts for painting
- Feb 13 - Just got the rear body panel from Goodmark Industries. Check out photos of the install.
